Registration Related Issues:

I've registered, now what do I do?

You are officially registered once you have paid for a sport with SSC. When it comes to us, “no news is good news”. You will only hear from us if we are not able to accommodate you. If you are a team captain, please log onto your profile and send out invitations for teammates to accept and become a member of your team. If you have previously played with them before, you can simply click them over from a previous team.

{top]

How do individuals get assigned to a team?

Once registration has closed, SSC will take the individual registrants and place them on a team together, honouring co-player requests (assuming there are enough registrants to assemble a team). This will then be a set team for the remainder of the season. You will have the opportunity to view your teammates information in the roster section of your profile once the schedule is posted.

{top]

\How do I pick up equipment and pay for the deposit?

Equipment can be picked up at our office, located at 185 Bridgeland Avenue, Suite #110 from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9AM and 5PM. The deposit can be paid when you arrive at our office by Visa, Mastercard, Cash or Cheque or it can be paid online during registration

{top]

When does the season start?

Start dates for all sports can be found in our Sports Offered page www.tcssc.com/member/sportsoffered.php. Please click on the specific sport you wish to find the start date for and a pop up will appear with further information.

{top]

Where will I be playing?

Locations are not determined until registration has closed. We allocate the locations according to the registration numbers and determine what sports are best suited for the facilities we were able to obtain. Please note that our boundaries for indoor sports are from the Humber River to Victoria Park, south of the 401. For outdoor sports, the boundaries are from the 427 to Victoria Park, south of Steeles.

{top]

I am no longer able to play my sport. Can I get a refund?

As per our Refund Policy, we do not refund after the registration deadline date. However; if you can no longer play, there is the option of selling your spot to someone else of the same gender (to fill out the gender requirements). Once the person has expressed interest and purchases your spot, we will get them registered and take their payment to purchase your spot from that point forward. We will then refund you for the games they purchase from you. NOTE: you can search the Forum www.tcssc.com/forum/forum.php for possible players to fill your spot as well.

{top]

I would like to be contacted when registration opens - how do I do this?

If you are currently registered with Sport and Social Club, you will get an email when registration opens as long as you have not opted out of receiving promotional emails.

If you are not playing with us, please click on this icon:

I still see "not yet assigned" in my profile - what's going on?

Once you have registered and paid for your sport(s), your individual registration will appear in your profile as "Not Yet Assigned" to a team. Your profile will remain as such until SSC posts your schedule. If it turns out that we were unable to accommodate the registration, you will be emailed suggesting alternative arrangements. If you do not hear anything from SSC, please be patient as we are in the midst of assembling your team and will notify you when we have placed you on a team and posted your schedule. Remember, “no news is good news!”

{top]

Can I call or email to find out when my schedule will be posted?

Please do not call or email asking for schedule information!  We will email you when it is posted at the website.  Once schedules for a season have been posted, they will be viewable at your profile.  As a general guideline, schedules are posted no later than 48 hours prior to your first game, and they are often posted much earlier.  Unless you have heard from us, yo ucan trust that you will be starting on the first night of your specific league.   Answering phone calls and emails about when schedules are posted slows this process down substantially.

The scheduling period is an intense time at the SSC office.  Therefore, it may take longer for us to return phone calls and emails.  We appreciate your patience and will respond to messages as quickly as scheduling allows.

League and Schedule Related Issues:

What does my team get if we win?

At the end of every season, SSC has a Season End Party to celebrate the season and hand out awards to championship teams. These awards include a set of SSC team shirts, a prize ball or sponsor prize, as well as various other prizes determined by our sponsors.

{top]

My schedule says I'm playing at 12:00AM at "location pending": what does this mean?

If your schedule indicates a midnight start time and says location pending, it is because SSC has been informed of a cancellation in a permit which has affected your game. We are in the midst of looking for a new venue and start time to get your game played. Once we secure a new permit for your game, we will update it in your profile. If the change is within a week of the game, you will receive an email from us updating you about the change.

{top]

Are there games on spring and summer holiday long weekends?

All OUTDOOR leagues have games scheduled for the Sunday and holiday Monday of the Victoria day and August long weekends except Men's softball.  INDOOR leagues do not have games scheduled for these weekends.

T.E.A.M. System FAQS for Team Captains:

Why do I have to invite people to be on my team?
In order for your team mates to be able to see their schedules, their must be invited to join your team.  If you do not do this, they won't be able to see where and when they are playing.  Additionally, TCSSC Policy dictates that captains must be provide us with their players' information.  The TEAM System keeps the management away from the captain (all you have to do is send the invites from the TEAM Builder).  The waiver is also incorporated into this process: you will now know that if a player is listed on your team they have approved the waiver and are therefore eligible.  After you have invited people once to be on your team, the next time you build a team for a different season, you can simply add people to the new squad with a single click!

{top]

Are you experiencing problems sending/accepting an invitation to a team mate to join a team?

If your captain is sending you an invitation to become apart of the team and you're not receiving it, you may be having issues related to SPAM controls on your email account  inhibiting you from receiving the invitation. If your captain is sending the invitation to your work account, the only way to get the invitation through is to have the captain send the invitation to their own email account and forward it to you. Another option is to have the captain send the invitation to a personal email account. If you are using a personal email account and you are still not receiving the invitation, it may be filtering to your junk folder.

If possible, we recommend put the following emails on safe lists:

  • info@tcssc.com
  • noreply@tcssc.com
  • donotreply@tcssc.com

If you are having troubles accepting your invitation, please have the captain send a copy of the invitation to their own email account. They can then test the URL themselves to see if it works. If the URL is successful, they can forward that invitation to you for you to accept. If not, please contact SSC.
