This means...
S: Safe play all of the time. Play with control and be
conscious of your surroundings.
M: Members only. Anyone who plays on your team needs to be
listed on your roster. One off substitutes must be listed on your roster
or an active TCSSC roster.
A: Attend online info session and read rules every season. This
will keep
you up to speed on new issues.
R: Report all injuries which require medical attention
and incidents if you desire official TCSSC investigation.
T: Talk to the other team. Together, TCSSC members can a make
fun and safe playing environment
It is the responsibility of both team captains/co-captains to submit
their scores for league online through the T.E.A.M.
System by 5:00 p.m. the day following their game.
Please click here for detailed information on how to report scores.
1. Equipment/Set-Up: Teams should provide their own game balls.
Uniforms with numbers on the front AND back MUST be worn for all games.

2. Game Time/Default:
- Please arrive 15 minutes early so that you can
start your games on time.
- Games are comprised of 2 x 23 minute halves. During the last
3 minutes of the 2nd half, if the score differential is 12 points or
less, it will be stopped time.
- Teams are comprised of five (5) players. A default will occur if a
team cannot field a team of 5 players within 10 minutes of the official
start time. A team cannot play with less than 5 players.
- Teams may only use players on their roster, and may not “borrow”
players (i.e. players from a previous game). Referees will not
officiate games where players are “borrowed” from another team.
- Teams that cause a delay in the start of the game, or teams that do
not have proper jerseys may be assessed a technical foul. This
will be at the sole discretion of the referee, and cannot be disputed.

3. General Rules: (For the most part, NCAA rules will be used -
however the following exceptions apply)
- Teams may call one (1) 30-second time-out per half if needed.
- Foul shots are live "off the release", as opposed to "off the rim"
- A game can end in a tie during the regular season. In the playoffs, a
game that is tied at the end of regulation time is decided by a
three-minute running clock overtime period.
- Halftime will be one (1) minute in length. Please be prepared
to start the second half quickly.
- A team will be in "bonus" situation (one automatic foul shot,
regardless of the type of foul) when their opponents have 7 fouls or
more in one half. A team will be in a "double bonus" situation
(two automatic foul shots, regardless of the type of foul), when their
opponents have 10 fouls or more in one half.
- Dunking is permitted, but please DO NOT HANG ON THE RIM.

4. Fouls:
- All standard basketball infractions will be enforced by the
referees (e.g. reaching-in, body contact of any kind, charging, etc).
- The decisions of the referees are final, and are NOT to be
disputed. Players who disrespect the referees will be subjected
to TCS&SC policy, including possible suspension/ejection from the
leagues.
5. Rough Play: ANY ROUGH OR PHYSICAL PLAY WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE
EXPULSION FROM FURTHER LEAGUE PLAY AND MAY RESULT IN LIFETIME LEAGUE
EXPULSION. PLEASE SEE THE TCS&SC POLICY SHEET FOR OUR OFFICIAL POLICY ON
THIS SUBJECT. It is recognized that incidental contact between players is
inevitable – however, all players should go out of their way to avoid
creating an unsafe play. This rule supersedes all others.

6. What happens if official TCSSC score keeper is not present?
- Should there be no TCSSC Scorekeeper present, teams may pick a team
mate or spectator to keep score for that game. Games tracked by
non-TCSSC scorekeepers in this situation will count towards standings.
7. What happens if only one referee is present?
- TCSSC games may be played with only one official. Results of these
games will count towards standings.
